Having been fascinated since childhood with technology and its applications he studied Architecture getting a M.Sc. from the Politecnico di Torino. He soon started to work as a topographer and an architect for the private sector, applying the knowledge and skills from the studies to solve the issues in the acquisition and management of measured surveys. Most of his professional experiences largely cover close-range surveying applied to facilities management data collection, architectural planning and cultural heritage documentation. His research focuses on the application of GIS to 3D city modelling and the poincloud deformation analysis and segmentation.
